Dee Edington is a Professor in the Division of Kinesiology at the University of Michigan and recently retired Director of the Health Management Research Center.  He has initiated a retirement furlough from the University and has spun off Edington Associates to help, "Organizations ensure a thriving and sustainable workplace and workforce."  Edington Associates was formed to elevate healthy well-being to the same commitment level at the workplace and in the workforce as is safety and quality.

Dr. Edington's research focues o the precursors of disease and of vitality.  His current and emerging interest is focused on the relationships between thriving and sustainable organizations and healthy well-being of individuals.  He is specifically interested in how the company's vision and commitment; workplace environments and cultures; and, workplace health management activities impact population health status, financial outcomes; and as best place to work.

He is the author or co-author of over 800 articles, presentations, and several books, including THe One Minute Manager Balances Work and Life; and  Zero Trends: Health as a Serious Economic Strategy.

Bruce Sherman, MD, FCCP, FACOEM, serves as Medical Director with the Ohio-based Employers Health Coalition, where he brings health management and value-based purchasing strategies to member employer members, and leads the analytics strategy for the Coalition’s member health data warehouse. He also serves as the consulting Corporate Medical Director, for Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. In this role, he supports the development of integrated, value-based health and productivity management strategies for the organization's associates and family members. Dr. Sherman has particular interest in the areas of the business value of health and innovative employer approaches to healthcare delivery.

Dr. Sherman is an active member of the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative, a multi-stakeholder initiative to advance the patient-centered medical home, where he is involved with the Center for Employer and Purchaser Engagement. He is also a member of the leadership Boards for the Integrated Benefits Institute and the Center for Health Value Innovation. A frequent speaker, he has presented workforce health management strategies to diverse audiences, and has published numerous related articles.

Dr. Sherman received his MD from New York University School of Medicine, his MA from Harvard University and his bachelor's degree from Brown University. He is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Sherman continues as a member of the clinical faculty in the Department of Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

Dr. Tacci is the Global Corporate Medical Director and Manager of Medical, Health & Wellness Services for Xerox Corporation.  As a member of the Xerox Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability organization, within the Xerox Corporate Operations Group, he works to ensure the continued safety, health and productivity of Xerox employees, and supports Xerox business operations globally.  Dr. Tacci also holds a part-time teaching appointment at the University of Rochester Medical Center, where he reinstituted the university’s GPM-PH residency program, served as its initial residency program director, and currently chairs the residency advisory committee.  He is board certified in both Public Health & General Preventive Medicine, as well as in Occupational Medicine.  He has attained the status of “Fellow” in both the AmericanCollegeof Preventive Medicine (ACPM), as well as the AmericanCollegeof Occupational & Environmental Medicine (ACOEM).  He currently serves on the governing board of ACOEM, and in recent years has served on the governing boards ACPM and the American Journal of Preventive Medicine.  He is licensed to practice medicine inNew York, and is licensed to practice law inNew York,Massachusetts, and the United States Supreme Court.

Originally from Rochester, NY, Jim received his B.S. in Biology from CornellUniversity, and his M.D. with Distinction from the Universityof Rochester.  He completed residency training in General Preventive Medicine & Public Health at the New York State Department of Health, and residency and research fellowship training in Occupational & Environmental Medicine at HarvardUniversity.  Dr. Tacci received his J.D. magna cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law.  Prior to joining Xerox, Jim directed occupational medicine services in the defense, utilities, automotive, and nuclear power industries.
